Helping Young People Build Resilience for Life
Every young person faces challenges, whether it’s pressure at school, friendship difficulties, worries about the future or setbacks in life.
Through The Resilience Project, I deliver honest, engaging talks and interactive workshops that help young people understand their emotions, build resilience and develop the confidence to ask for help when they need it.
Drawing on my own experiences of setbacks, anxiety and mental health struggles, I aim to create a supportive environment where students feel understood, encouraged and reminded that they don’t have to face life’s challenges alone.
What Students Will Gain
Practical lessons that young people can carry with them beyond the classroom.
- Building resilience
- Learning how to respond to setbacks, cope when things go wrong and find a way forward.
- Understanding mental health
- Recognising emotions, understanding that struggling is nothing to be ashamed of and knowing when to seek support.
A Talk That Connects With Every Student
Every young person is different, and there is no one-size-fits-all approach to resilience or mental health.
I adapt my talks and interactive workshops to suit the age, needs and experiences of each group, helping students feel included, understood and comfortable engaging in the session.
Whether I’m speaking to a school assembly, a college group or a sports team, my aim is to make every session relatable, meaningful and encouraging.
Sessions can be adapted for:
- Primary and secondary school students
- College students and young adults
- Students with additional learning needs, including autism and ADHD
- Football clubs and sports teams dealing with pressure, confidence and setbacks
My approach is honest, supportive and interactive, creating opportunities for young people to reflect, participate and understand that asking for help is a strength
More Than Just a Talk
I believe young people learn best when they feel involved, listened to and able to express themselves.
That’s why The Resilience Project combines honest storytelling with interactive activities and open discussion, helping students connect the message to their own lives.
Every session aims to:
- Encourage participation through questions and simple activities.
- Give students opportunities to reflect on their own experiences.
- Create a supportive environment where everyone feels respected.
- Help young people identify positive steps they can take when facing challenges.
- Reinforce the importance of speaking up and seeking support when needed.
Sessions can be adapted to suit the age of the group, the time available and the needs of the organisation.
Why The Resilience Project?
Real experiences. Honest conversations. A message that matters.
I know what it feels like to struggle behind a smile, lose confidence and feel unsure of where to turn.
My own experiences have taught me that resilience isn’t about pretending everything is okay. It’s about recognising when things are difficult, finding the courage to speak up and taking steps towards a better future.
