Building Resilience On and Off the Pitch
Football teaches us about teamwork, discipline and overcoming challenges. But what happens when things don’t go to plan?
A missed opportunity, a serious injury, a loss of confidence or a difficult result can affect far more than performance on the pitch.
Through The Resilience Project, I deliver honest talks and interactive sessions to help players develop resilience, handle pressure and understand the importance of looking after their mental health.
What Players Will Learn
Football isn’t just about what happens during a match. It’s also about how we respond when things go wrong.
Through The Resilience Project, I want to help players develop the mindset to handle challenges both on and off the pitch.
Bouncing back from setbacks
Learning to move forward after mistakes, defeats and disappointments.
Dealing with pressure
Understanding how to manage expectations and stay focused when things get difficult.
Rebuilding confidence
Recognising that injuries, setbacks and difficult periods don’t have to define you as a player or a person.
Supporting your teammates
Understanding the importance of checking in with others, talking openly and recognising when someone might need support.
Why Football Clubs Should Book The Resilience Project
Football can bring people together, build confidence and teach valuable life lessons. But players also face pressure, disappointment and setbacks that can affect their confidence both on and off the pitch.
I understand how difficult it can be when football doesn’t go to plan. Drawing on my own experiences, I want to help players recognise that their value as a person is about far more than their performances on the pitch.
The Resilience Project gives clubs an opportunity to open up honest conversations about resilience and mental health, helping players understand that asking for support is a sign of strength.
Whether you’re working with a youth team, an academy or adult players, sessions can be adapted to suit your team’s needs and challenges.
